Dear Brother:

 

This year we celebrate our 62nd Annual Communion Breakfast on Sunday March 11, 2012.  The Mass will start at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 851 North Avenue in Bridgeport. Once again, the Most Reverend William E. Lori, STD, Bishop of Bridgeport, will be the Principal Celebrant and Homilist. Joining His Excellency on the altar will be our Division Chaplain Reverend Laurence D. Ryan, SJ and priests of the parish. Breakfast will follow at the Gaelic American Club, 74 Beach Rd, Fairfield (ample parking).

 

We will assemble at 8:00 a.m. in the parish center to receive our carnations.  Then accompanied by pipes and drums we’ll process into church at 8:50 a.m. The uniform of the day will be a green necktie, suit or blazer and shined dress shoes. For the continuation of this proud Irish Catholic tradition, we welcome sons, grandsons, and nephews to join us.

 

Tickets this year are $25 per person, which includes a full Irish Breakfast (buffet style). If you would like to attend the Communion Breakfast but do not have the means, please note it on your reply.

 

For your convenience, you can make payments for your breakfast tickets, dues, patrons, etc. on-line using any major credit card. Please go to www.aohjfk.com, and look for the “Pay On-Line” link. 

 

Please consider our e-mail version of the newsletter as paper and stamps are a costly means of communication. The newsletter is also posted on our site each month www.aohjfk.com.  Please email me with your current email if you are not currently receiving the e-newsletter.

P.P.S. Daylight Savings Time reminder!! Day light savings once again lands on the same day as the Communion Breakfast. On March 11, 2012 you will need to move your clocks forward by 1 hour at 2am.
